Grandpa-George is heading west to Seattle, Washington, to attend An Event Apart: For People Who Make Websites Conference. Hosted by Eric Meyer and Jeffrey Zeldman, this conference is an intensely educational event for practitioners of standards-based web design. It is THE event for people that care about code, as well as content, usability and design.

This conference brings together twelve of the leading minds in web design for two days of non-stop inspiration and enlightenment. Scheduled presenters include Jeffrey Zeldman and Eric Meyer, Ethan Marcotte, Luke Wroblewski, Tara Hunt, Kristina Havlorson, Jared Spool, Brett Welch, Scott Thomas, Derek Powazek, Aarron Walter, Dan Rubin, Robert Hoekman, Jr. and Dan Cederholm.
