Last night was one of the coldest nights that Grandpa-George could remember. We were summoned by the landlord, in a startling early morning call, to report immediately to the studio as IT IS COMPLETELY UNDER WATER. We arrived to find our intern shoeless, his pants rolled up to his knees, manning a mop and bucket looking bewildered as to where to start.
At that point various staff members arrived to find the studio under four inches of water. The pipe in the photo lab had burst some time in the night. The Emergency Clean-up crew was there shortly. Luckily, we only lost the Astroturf and a few pieces of paper.
There are now 10 large fans whirring in the studio. They are projected to be here for about 10 days. It is too loud to be able to think.
