Pinball Portland

During Grandpa-George’s most recent trip to Portland, Oregon, we thought we would take the opportunity to stop in and visit Pinball Publishing —the makers of Scout Books. Jess Hirsch gave us a great tour of their printing facility / office / store. Their operation is phenomenal.

Pinball Publishing grew out of the owners Laura and Austin’s desire to be involved in their own design projects from conception to final printed manifestation. They had difficulty searching for a quality offset printing vendor. Pinball Publishing took this as a challenge to provide custom offset print options with a focus on understanding the clients’ vision in an enthusiastic, design sensitive environment where novice to professional can purchase the highest level of quality with the best service in the industry.

It was so great to see such a creative group of people having a lot of fun at what they do, working in a cool space, and making such great products. Grandpa-George left lighter in the wallet and heavier in our checked luggage, but oh so completely satisfied!
